Hey there! I’m Allison.

Therapist, Diabetes Educator, and Chronic Illness Warrior.

There is a massive difference between reading about a chronic condition in a textbook and living it every single day.

I’ve lived with Type 1 diabetes for over 30 years. I know firsthand the relentless mental load of managing a disease, the frustration of doing everything "right" and still getting unpredictable results, and the exhaustion of feeling like your diagnosis has swallowed your identity whole.

Because of this, I don't just sit across from you as a clinical expert. I sit across from you as someone who truly understands the emotional tidal waves, the medical burnout, and the quiet grief of navigating a body that feels like it’s constantly throwing curveballs. You don't have to explain the nuance of your daily struggle to me… I get it!

My practice lives at the exact intersection of mental health, medical reality, and mindset.

Because I hold three distinct roles, I am able to offer an integrated style of support that is incredibly rare to find:

  • The Licensed Therapist: I help you process the trauma, anxiety, grief, and relationship strain that often accompany a major health shift or a difficult postpartum/NICU experience.

  • The Diabetes Educator: I understand the clinical numbers, the physiology, and the daily management strategies, allowing us to combine emotional healing with practical action plans.

  • The Person Who Lives It: My lived experience ensures our work is always grounded in reality—never empty platitudes or impossible standards.

Whether you are navigating diabetes, adjusting to a new chronic diagnosis, or processing birth trauma, my goal is to help you build a life that reflects your core values, not just your symptoms. Let's uncover not just the "why" behind what you're feeling, but the "and now what?" too.
